The Snowmobile Cross world championships came to their conclusion this weekend in the small town of Malå in Västerbotten, with entrants from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Italy and the USA. The pre-race favourite, Emil Öhman (Sweden), did what he had to and got through qualifying before winning the first of two finals, thus guaranteeing him an unassailable lead in the overall points standings. It was the first time I had been to a world championship event like this and it was cool to see riders from other countries. I tried some different angles here, and also some different shutter speeds. It is nice to "freeze" the moment, to show the viewer what happened just in that one split second, but I also like to show the fact that an object is moving and thus also try to capture that feeling even when said object is airborne. Whether I suceed or not is another matter ;-)
