The World Cup final in Snowmobile Cross was held, as in previous years, in Malå. The start field consisted mostly of Scandinavian entrants but there were also a couple from Iceland, two from the USA, and one from Italy. The event consisted of two groups who each had a qualifying heat, then there was a "last chance" heat for those who didn't make the cut the first time round, and finally, two actualt heats, with points for finishing positions. This year's mens event went right to the wire, it was quite open before the start of the two final heats with any of the top 4 technically able to win the world title. After a quite interesting first heat, and very exciting final heat, where the winners crown changed hands several times as people overtook and then lost places again, the new world champion for this event is Peter Ericsson, from Skellefteå.
