Burkacup 2009 - Long Distance Vilhelmina

The second round of Burkacupen was a long distance event, held in collaboration with the motorsports clubs in Vilhelmina. The weather tried its very best to intervene, with snow, a slight breeze and -20C but nothing gets in the way of veteran snowmobiles :-) 100 hardy entrants competed in various categories, completing 2 laps of the specially prepared course, which comprised a long start/finish straight, some hairpin curves, two forest sections and innumerable bumps ;-) The camera held out admirably, all things considered, though the batteries were not impressed and lost a certain amout of capacity (which comes back again when they warm up). Sorry about the terrible lighting, the white balance was a little off, to say the least ...
