Burkacup 2009 - Grass Dragracing Åmsele May 2009

The final event in this years Burkacup was another dragracing event, this time on grass. Yes, even in late May and with the temperature reaching 26C, 80 veteran snowmobiles showed what they could do on a slightly firmer surface. Only a couple sucumbed to the heat as far as I am aware, but after 3 trial runs and then eliminations, that's probably not such a suprise! I took advantage of the nice weather to get some stills, although it can be hard to predict when the best moment is to take a pic, even with the camera set to burst mode! I have chosen a "mere" 125 pics for the homepage but there are more available, so let me know if you'd like to see some more of any particular machine or class. All pics taken with Richard's D80.
